Indian benchmark indices continued to gain strength during the noon trading session after the monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) unanimously opted to maintain the policy repo rate at 6.5 percent for the fifth consecutive time.
At 14:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 69722.79 up by 201.1 points or by 0.29 % and then NSE Nifty was at 20910.95 up by 9.8 points or by 0.05 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 69888.33 and intraday low of 69506.12 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 21006.1 and intraday low of 20862.7
The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1359.45,+2.43%), JSW Steel Ltd. (Rs. 838.95,+2.39%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1487.40,+1.45%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3635.05,+1.38%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1649.25,+1.14%), among others.
