Breaking a four-day losing streak, Indian equity benchmarks closed higher on Tuesday, supported by upbeat global cues, cooling retail inflation, and steady foreign fund inflows.

The 30-share benchmark index ended at 317.45 points or by 0.39 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25195.8 up by 113.5 points or by 0.45 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 82743.62 and intraday low of 82221.74 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25245.2 and intraday low of 25088.45

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1727.70,+2.71%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 2037.45,+1.69%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 881.10,+1.61%), Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 684.95,+1.55%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3130.60,+1.28%), among others.
