Indian equities were volatile in trade on Thursday, ahead of F&O expiry.

Meabwhile, Wholesale Price Index (WPI) inflation stayed in the negative zone for the second month in a row, coming in at (-) 0.58% in July, driven by deflation in food articles and fuel, even as manufactured goods registered a price rise, according to government data released on Thursday.

WPI inflation stood at (-) 0.13% in June and was 2.10% in July last year.

At 12:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 80633.46 up by 93.55 points or by 0.12 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24648 up by 28.65 points or by 0.12 %.

(Rs. 12243.00,-1.24%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 3664.00,-0.78%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 337.65,-0.68%), among others. CDS index was at 59100.77 up by 521.6 points or by 0.89%. Kalyan Jewellers India Ltd.
