Stock market benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty continued to trade with deep cuts during afternoon session on Monday tracking a sharp spike in crude oil prices amid escalating tensions in West Asia.
At 14:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 79974.54 down by -1312.65 points or by -1.61 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24779.25 down by -399.4 points or by -1.59 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 80632.55 and intraday low of 78543.73 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24989.35 and intraday low of 24603.5
The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bharat Electronics Ltd. (Rs. 452.00,+1.70%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1751.10,+0.75%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 314.45,+0.27%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 1879.90,+0.01%), among others.
The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. (Rs. 4535.05,-5.97%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 4034.05,-5.76%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.
