Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty closed in the red on Monday, weighed down by higher crude oil prices and continued geopolitical tensions in West Asia.
The 30-share benchmark index ended at 77728.16 down by -281.09 points or by -0.36 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24287.65 down by -78.35 points or by -0.32 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 77928.68 and intraday low of 77453.75 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24360.1 and intraday low of 24226.95
The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 186.10,+1.47%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1230.00,+1.03%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1318.40,+0.80%), Bharat Electronics Ltd. (Rs. 412.40,+0.49%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 730.00,+0.36%), among others.
