Zinc prices rose by Rs 1.85 to Rs 258.05 per kilogram on Wednesday in the futures market, driven by improved demand in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), zinc contracts for July delivery gained Rs 1.85 or 0.72% to Rs 258.05 per kg, with a turnover of 301 lots.
Analysts noted that the price increase was supported by higher buying interest from participants, spurred by rising demand from consuming industries.
