Copper prices declined by 0.4 per cent to Rs 888.30 per kilogram in futures trade on Monday, as traders trimmed their positions amid lacklustre demand in the domestic market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for July delivery dropped Rs 3.60, or 0.4 per cent, to Rs 888.30 per kg, with a business volume of 8,179 lots.
Analysts said the fall in prices was mainly due to reduced interest from participants at current levels.
