Gold prices rose by Rs 180 to Rs 97,955 per 10 grams on Tuesday in futures trade, as traders created fresh positions amid firm demand in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, August delivery contracts climbed Rs 180, or 0.18%, to Rs 97,955 per 10 grams, with a trading volume of 11,595 lots.
Analysts attributed the uptick in prices to renewed buying interest and strong demand in the physical market.
