The Delhi Milk Scheme (DMS) achieved a key milestone on August 13, 2025, with the launch of new dairy products and the distribution of booth allotment letters at a special event held at the NASC Complex, Pusa, New Delhi. The ceremony was attended by Smt. Alka Upadhyaya, Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying (DAHD), along with other senior officials.

The event featured the digital launch and unveiling of cow milk and co-branded dairy products — an initiative aimed at improving product quality, strengthening consumer trust, and empowering livestock farmers. As part of the programme, 22 new booth allotment letters were handed over to selected applicants, creating fresh employment opportunities and enhancing the rural–urban dairy supply network.

In her address, Secretary Alka Upadhyaya outlined the vision to reinforce the dairy ecosystem through better product offerings and inclusive opportunities across the value chain, while commending the collaborative efforts of DMS and the Haryana Milk Federation in bringing new products to market.

Additional Secretary Ms. Varsha Joshi stressed the importance of the DMS brand in Delhi-NCR and its growth potential with the introduction of these new offerings. The event also saw participation from senior DAHD officials, industry stakeholders, beneficiaries of the booth allotment scheme, and representatives from Haryana Dairy Development Co-operative Federation Ltd.
