Zinc prices rose 65 paise to Rs 278.55 per kg in futures trade on Wednesday, supported by improved demand in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), October delivery contracts gained 0.23% to Rs 278.55 per kg, with a turnover of 769 lots.
Analysts said participants expanded their positions as demand from consuming industries picked up, keeping zinc futures in positive territory.
