Crude oil futures traded higher on Thursday, with prices rising by Rs 14 to Rs 9,725 per barrel amid increased buying by market participants.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange of India, crude oil contracts for June delivery gained Rs 14, or 0.14 per cent, to Rs 9,725 per barrel in 3,577 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions created by traders following firm spot demand supported the rise in crude oil prices.
