Indian indices opened at fresh record high on October 19 with Nifty around 18,600 and Sensex crossing 62,000 for the first time.

Among individuals, Larsen & Toubro Infotech share price touched a 52-week high of Rs 6,680 after company reported better numbers in the quarter ended September 2021.

The company's Q2FY22 profit rose 11.1% at Rs 551.7 crore versus Rs 496.8 crore and rupee revenue was up 8.8% at Rs 3,767 crore versus Rs 3,462.5 crore, QoQ.

At 9:55 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 61991.71 up by 226.12 points or by 0.37 % and then NSE Nifty was at 18574.9 up by 97.85 points or by 0.53 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 62201.72 and intraday low of 61964.41 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 18604.45 and intraday low of 18534.65

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 1840.10,+2.91%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1512.00,+2.28%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2709.90,+2.10%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1242.40,+1.72%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1689.95,+1.19%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were ITC Ltd. (Rs. 252.80,-3.68%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 7301.00,-1.31%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 201.30,-1.23%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 2560.45,-1.10%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 1400.50,-0.75%), among others.
