Our Company was incorporated as "Canbank Investment Management Services Limited", a public limited company under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1956, pursuant to a certificate of incorporation dated March 2, 1993, issued by the Registrar of Companies, Maharashtra and received a certificate for commencement of business dated May 10, 1993 from the Registrar of Companies, Maharashtra. Subsequently, pursuant to a resolution passed by our Board and by our Shareholders dated April 25, 2007 and September 26, 2007, respectively, the name of our Company was changed from `Canbank Investment Management Services Limited' to `Canara Robeco Asset Management Company Limited' as the promoter of the Company, Canara Bank has entered into a Shareholders Agreement with ORIX Corporation Europe N.V. (Previously known as Robeco Groep N.V.) consequent to which a fresh certificate of incorporation was issued by the RoC dated October 10, 2007 under the Companies Act, 1956.
Major Events and Milestones: 2007 - Canara Bank and OCE, entered into a SHA agreement dated March 19, 2007 to set forth their specific mutual understanding and agreement as to the rights and obligations of the Parties as shareholders in the Company.
