1988 - The Company was established as a Partnership Firm on 7th March, in the name
of Tips Cassettes & Record Co.; and was converted into a Private Limited Company
on 8th May, 1996 and further it became a Deemed Public Limited Company w.e.f. 1st
July, 1999. The principal promoters of the company are the Taurani family.
- The Main Object of the Company is to carry on the business as manufactureres, sellers,
distributors, dealers, buyers, importes, exporters of audio and video cassettes, records,
compact discs, laser discs etc.
1990 - The Company set up its first manufacturing facility at Palghar, Mayharashtra.
1992 - M/s. R.K. Electronics was dissolved and merged with the partnership firm
M/s. Tips Cassettes and Records Company.
1996 - The Company was converted into a joint stock company under Chapter IX of
the Companies Act, 1956 on 8th May and rechristened as Tips Industries Private
Limited.
1997 - Tips commissioned the second manufacturing facility for blank and pre recorded
audio cassettes at Silvassa.
1999 - The Company acquired the audio rights held by Video Master, Time Magnetics
(India) Limited and Weston Components Limited.
2000 - The Company acquired audio rights held by Mr. Jawaharlal Chopra.
- Tips Industries Ltd. the leading music company is entering the capital
market in first week of September with an initial public offer of 30,00,000
No. of equity shares of face value Rs. 10/- each.
- Tips Industires, has entered the south Indian film music market.
- The Company has signed a three-year exclusive licensing deal with the global music
conglomerate, Warner Electra Atlantic International Inc, US.
2002
-Shiv Abhichandani resigns from Directorship of Tips Ind.
2004
-Tips Industries Limited has informed that they have shifted the Registered office to new premises. The details of the same are as follows:- Old Address: Plot No. A-18, Opp. Laxmi Indl. Estate, Off. Link Road, Andheri (W), Mumbai. 400 053. New Address; 601, Durga Chambers, 6th Floor, Opp. BPL Gallery, 278/E, Linking Road, Khar (W), Mumbai. 400 052.
2005
-Tips Industries & Mukta Arts re-associate to create history.
2006

2008
-Board recommends dividend of 20%.
2009
-Tips has recommended a dividend @ 11% i.e. Rs 1.10/- per share.
2010
-Board recommends dividend of 12.5% i.e. Rs 1.25/- per share.
2011
-Board recommends dividend of 12.5% i.e. Rs. 1.25 per Share.
2012
-Tips Industries has proposed a dividend of 20% i.e. Rs. 2/- Per Share.
2013
-Company has recommended dividend @ 21% i.e. Rs. 2.10 /- (Two rupees and Ten paise) per share.
2023 -The Company has splits its face value from Rs. 10/- to Rs. 1/-. -TIPS Industries Limited has collaborated with 'Collaboration between Tips Music and Sony Music Publishing'.
2024 -Company name has changed to Tips Music Ltd. from Tips Industries Ltd..
