    History of Company

    The company history sections lists out major chronological events that happened to the company.
    The company was promoted by Sri. V.M. Lakshminarayanan and Sri. V.M. Kumareason. The company weas originally incorporated as a Private Limited Company on 24th February '86 and was converted into a Public Limited Company on 25th April, 1990.

    The company started business in the year 1986 mainly as a trading concern. The commercial production of LPG stoves and Geysers started in October 1987. This was followed by commercial production of Mixer/ Grinders from October 1989. Presently the Company is engaged in manufacture of LPG stoves, Mixer/Grinders and Geysers.

    PROMOTERS AND THEIR BACKGROUD:

    The Company was initially promoted by Sri. V. M. Lakshminarayan and Sri. V.M. Kumaresan, sons of Sri V. Murugesa Chettir. Subsequently Sri Murugesa Chettiar and his other two sons namely Sri V.M. Seshadri and Sri V.M. Balasubramaniam also joined the company as promoters with equity stake.

    The company is an existing profit making unit. The Board after appraising the market potential is of the view that there is a good possibility of expanding the market for the Company's products.

    -Mr. D Krishnamurthy has been appointed as Additional Director on the Company

    2011

    -Gandhmthi App Bags large Tamil Nadu Government Orders worth approx. Rs. 285 crores

    -Mr. V. M. Seshadri has been appointed as Managing Director of the Company 

    -Company has changed its name from Gandhimathi Appliances Ltd. to Butterfly Gandhimathi Appliances Ltd.

    -Butterfly Gandhimathi Appliances bags order worth Rs 460.50 cr from Tamil Nadu Civil

    2013 -The Company has decided to recommended dividend of Rs. 2.50 per equity share of paid up and face value of Rs. 10/- each -Butterfly Gandhima - Bags Order aggregating Rs. 204 crores -Butterfly Gandhimathi bags Rs 204 cr order from Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies -Butterfly Gandhimathi Appliances Ltd has decided to recommended dividend of Rs. 2.50 per equity share of paid up and face value of Rs. 10/- each

    2014 -Butterfly Gandhima - Completion of 'Slump Sale' purchase -Butterfly Gandhimathi Appliances Limited acquires Domestic Kitchen & Domestic Electrical Appliances division from Associate Company LLM Appliances Limited

    2015 -Butterfly Gandhimathi Appliances Ltd has bagged Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation Order worth Rs. 510 crores.

    2016 -First in India to be awarded "BEE Label with 2-star rating" for manufacture of LPG Stoves.

    2017 -Frameless Glass Top Stoves launched in 2017.

    2024 -The Company Informed a new product launch" Air Fryer' -The Company Received of Awards from Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
