YEAR                                                  EVENTS
1964 - The Company was Incorporated on 25th September, as a private
              limited company under the name Delton Cable Industries Private
              Ltd.  It was converted into a public limited company on 30th
              June, 1981.  The name was changed to Delton Cables, Ltd. with
              effect from 10th September, 1981.  It was promoted by R.K. Gupta.
- The Company's object is to manufacture wires and cables, power cables, radio high frequency cables and PVC compound.

1972 - 11,500 Bonus equity shares issued in prop. 1:2.

1976 - Equity shares subdivided in 1973-74. 55,000 No. of equity shares issued since then. Subsequently in 1976-77, 89,000 Bonus equity shares issued in prop. 2:9.

1980 - 1,95,000 Bonus equity shares issued in prop. 2:5.

1981 - The Company undertook a significant modernisation programme at its Faridabad factory.

1982 - Simultaneously with the public issue of capital during February the then existing shareholders offered for sale to the public 2,45,300 No. of equity shares of Rs.10 each of the company at a prem. of Rs.8 per share.

- 4,14,700 No. of equity shares of Rs.10 each issued at a prem. of Rs.8 per share of which 30,000 shares reserved and allotted to LIC, UTI and GIC and 44,000 shares reserved and allotted to employees/business associates of the Company. The balance 3,40,700 shares offered for public subscription during February 1982.

1983 - Manufacture of jelly filled cables was taken up in the existing plant by the addition of some balancing equipment.

1984 - The Company undertook to set up a new unit at Daruhera in Haryana a notified backward area, for the processing of polymers for steady supply of PVC compounds. Machinery for processing of various grades of PVC compound was installed and trial runs were completed in September. Regular production commenced thereafter.

           - 8,80,000 No. of equity shares of Rs.10 each offered as rights at
             par in prop. 4:5.  Only 6,89,010 shares taken up.
1987 - The Company was granted an industrial licence for the manufacture of 50,000 lines of Electronic Private Automatic Branch Exchanges (EPABX) and allied equipments per annum in the State of Haryana. The project was undertaken in a joint venture company "Delta Systems Pvt. Ltd." co-promoted by the Company along with ATEA, Belgium and Siemens Ltd.

          - The Company, ATEA and Siemens Ltd. were to participate to the
             extent of 25%, 15% and 49% respectively in the equity capital of
             the joint venture.  The balance 11% was to be raised from other
             associates.
- The Company made a reference to the Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction (BIFR) as per the requirements of the Sick Industrial Companies (Sp. Provisions) Act. 1985.

1988 - The Company undertook to implement a project to manufacture jelly filled cables at Dharuhera with an installed capacity of 500 million core metres per annum.

1989 - The margins, however, remained under pressure due to general increase in the cost of raw materials. It was planned to introduce shortly new varieties of control cables.

           - 10,000 - 9.8% pref. shares redeemed on 28.4.1989.  In November,
              1,78,901 No. of equity shares issued at par as rights in prop.
              1:10.  12,089 No. of equity shares allotted at par to Delta
              Sales Ltd.
1991 - The Company's R&D wing developed newer products such as fluro carbon insulated & sheathed wires and cables, cables with PVDF, ETFE and FEP insulations. Special coaxial cables with PTFE insulation etc.

1994 - The capacity of the Daruhera plant was being increased from 1.2 lakh Crore Km. to 6.2 lakh Crore Km.

1995 - The capacity of jelly Filled Telecommunication Cables, at the Dheruhera plant is being increased from 1.2 LCKM to 6,2 LCKM per annum under the expansion programme of the Company. The Company is also expanding its market network.

1997 - Shri Vijay Kumar Goel and Shri A. B. Gersappe, Directors are retired.

1999 - Shri R.K. Gupta Chairman & Managing Director was re-appointed w.e.f. 1.6.1999.

2000 - Delton Cables, the leading manufacturer of telecom cables launched international quality, highly secure fire retardant house wires.

- Delton Cable Ltd, an ISO-9002 company and a leading manufacturer of telecom cables, has launched fire-retardant house wires in India.

- Delton Cables Ltd has launched Fire Retardant House Wires in India.

2010 - Delton Cables Ltd has recommended dividend of Re. 1.00 per share (10%),

2011 - Delton Cables Ltd has recommended payment of 10% dividend i.e. Re. 1/- per share of Rs. 10/- each

2012 - Delton Cables Ltd has recommended the 15% dividend.

2014 - Delton Cables Ltd. has given bonus in the ratio of 2:1. 2015 -Delton Cables Ltd issued bonus shares in the ratio of 2:1.
