FILMCITY MEDIA LIMITED promoted by Shri Surendra Gupta and Smt. Renu Gupta was incorporated as a Private Limited Company in the name of Kavita Prakashan Private Limited with Registrar of Companies, Maharashtra, Bombay on 22nd April, 1994. The name of the Company was subsequently changed to Filmcity Media Private Limited on 1.6.1995 and lateron it was converted into a public limited company on 06.07.95 in terms of Special Resolution passed on 5.6.95. The Company is presently engaged in publishing of two film weekly magazines i.e. Filmcity and Aar Paar. The present circulation of these two magazines totally amount to appmx. 1.05 lacs copies per week. The Magazine Filmcity was being published for last over 10 years by Narmada Prakashan Private Limited, in which Shri Surendra Gupta and Smt. Renu Gupta were directors and Shri Surendra Gupta was Editor and publisher of the magazine Filmcity, while Smt. Renu Gupta was the Editor-Publisher of Aar Paar since inception and is looking after entire work relating to the above magazine. On 01.02.1994 Shri Surendra Gupta and Smt. Renu Gupta resigned from the directorship of Narmada Prakashan Private Limited and floated a proprietorship firm Kavita Prakashan,which took over all the publishing rights alongwith titles from Narmada Prakashan (P) Ltd. Then on, 22.04.1994 Kavita Prakashan was taken over by Kavita Prakashan Private Limited. The name and status of the Company was subsequently changed to Filmcity Media Ltd. The titles alongwith all the publishing rights of the magazines are with Filmcity Media Ltd. 2005 -Company has splits its Face value of Shares from Rs 10 to Re 1 -Filmcity Media Ltd Issues Rights in the Ratio of 9:10 2008 -The company has issued rights in the ratio of 1:11 at a premium of Rs.0/- Per Share. 2009 - Filmcity Media Ltd has informed that Mr. Hemant Verma who was appointed as the Additional Director of the Company has resigned w.e.f. February 18, 2009. - Filmcity Media Ltd has appointed Mr. Vijay Pande as an Additional Director w.e.f.
