| Gem Spinners India Ltd (GSIL) was incorporated as a public limited company on 18th October 1990 under the name "Gem Spinning and Weaving Mills Ltd". The name was subsequently changed to Gem Spinners India Ltd and a fresh Certificate of Incorporation was issued on 3rd April 1992. The Certificate of commencement of business was issued on 26th November 1990.
GSIL has been promoted by Shri R Veeramani, B.Sc., B.L., an industrialist of Tamil Nadu and promoter of Gem Granites and Imperial Granites (P) Ltd.
Company has set up 100% EOU for manufacuring of cotton yarn & cotton knitted fabric with an installed capacity of 25,000 spindles & is capable of manufacturing cotton yarn in a range of 20s to 100s producing finer varieties of cotton fabric used for making fashion garments.
