    History of Company

    The company history sections lists out major chronological events that happened to the company.
    The company was incorporated as Odyssey Technologies Ltd. on 6-4-90 under the Companies Act, 1956, and subsequently converted into a Public Limited Company and a Certificate for change in name was obtained from the Registrar of Companies, TamilNadu, Madras from 11th November 1994. Since it is a private limited company which has been converted into a public limited company no certificate of commencement of business is needed.

    ACTIVITY PROFILE

    Apart from rendering Software services, the company has till now developed two Software Packages. The first one "EMBROCAD" ix a high efficiency computerised designing and editing system for the Embroidery Industry. This can format floppies and transfer designs to multiheaded embroidery machines, manufactured by four companies namely TAJIMA, HAPPY, BARUDAN and ZSK. The end users of this package are garment exporters. This Software is an import substitute item. Earlier, all the Garment Exporters were depending upon the imported design systems for their embroidery work. This package has been highly successful and has generated turnovers in excess of Rs. 20 lacs each during the years 1992-93 and 1993-94. For the year 1994-95, till now about Rs. 10 lacs has been generated out of this package.

    The second package developed by the company is "TAEXPERT'. The entire programming part related to this package has been completed. The replication of the data on compact discs is to be done. The end users of this package are Advocates, Chartered Accountants and Corporate Assessees.

    The company is currently implementing an on-line Insurance Broking & Claim Accounting System for M/s Anda Insurance Brokers Pte. Ltd. of Singapore to the value of Rs. 5 lacs. Talks are underway for other similar systems to be implemented at Singapore. In addition, discussions are underway to develop a process control system for a Singapore based subsidiary of a European Company This is expected to pave the way for a number of products in CAD/CAM area where Odyssey already has a proven track record.

    2000

    -Odyssey Technologies and the Bangalore - based PSI Data Systems Ltd. have signed a memorandum of understanding to offer security and trust products for the finance industry.

    2001

    -Odyssey Technologies, an internet security company based in Chennai has joined hands with Netrust, Singapore for imparting knowledge on internet sucurity in Singapore.

    -The Chennai-based Odyssey Technologies Ltd., launched T-Shell, a secure server access product for clients to access Unix server over open networks.

    2004

    -Odyssey India launches co-branded credit card

    2005

    -KVB selects Odyssey Snorkel - TX to secure its Internet

    2007

    - Odyssey Technologies has designated E Mail for Investor Complaints: investors@odysseytec.com.

    2014 -Odyssey Technologies Ltd has informed that the Registered Office of the Company is shifted from Arjay Apex Centre, IInd Floor, No. 51, College Road, Chennai - 600 006 to 8-A to E, 8th Floor, GEE GEE Emerald, No. 312, Valluvarkottam High Road, Nungambakkam, Chennai -600034.
