| Ranjit Securities Limited was incorporated as a Limited Company on 30th September, 1994 with Registrar of Companies, Madhya Pradesh at Gwalior, and the Certificate of Commencement of Business was obtained on 20th October 1994.
The company has been promoted by Mr. Taranjeet Singh Hora and Mr. Man Mohan Gambhir. Since incorporation the company is mainly engaged in fund based activities. The present business of the company is grouped as under:
a. Providing short term finance, loans and advances
b. Bill discounting and other instrument discounting
c. Investment in securities of Indian Companies
d. Arrangement of finance
The Company's investment portfolio is constantly reviewed and restructured and right decisions are made in the right time.
The Company also follows the following broad guidelines while making investment decisions:
* Investment in any single company's share/debenture shall not exceed 10% of the paid up capital of the investee company.
* Investment in any specific industry shall not exceed 25% of the market value the investment portfolio of the Company at the time of making the investment.
* Investment in the shares of any particular group shall not exceed 25% of the net worth of the Company.
* Aggregate of the Investment portfolio, at cost, shall not exceed at any time 25% of the net worth of the Company.
* The Investments in unquoted companies, if any, other than in subsidiaries, will not exceed 15% of the total Investment.
The policies in respect of Investment of funds are decided by the Board of Directors which are then implemented by the management team. The Board of Directors constitute the investment committee.
