Barak Valley Cements Limited was incorporated as on 28th April 1999,under the Companies Act,with the Registrar of Companies, Assam, Meghalaya,Manipur, Tripura, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh & Mizoram, Shillong and received certificate for commencement of business on the same BVCL was promoted by Mr. Prahlad Rai Chamaria,Mr. Bijay Kumar Garodia and Mr. Santosh We commenced commercial production on 1st April 2001with an installed capacity of 300 TPD and thereafter undertook capacityexpansion which now stands at 460 TPD.The total turnover of our Company has grown from Rs. 1829.77 Lacs during FY 2001-02 to Rs. 5352.71 lacs during FY 2005-06 and Rs. 7433.21 lacs for FY 2007.The Quality Systems of our Company have been accredited with BIS and International Industrial Certification Co. Ltd. certification (ISO 9001: 2000). Our business activity revolves around the manufacturing of cement.Our Company produces different grades of cements, i.e., PPC and OPC catering to the different user segments.

April 2007 Starting of production by our subsidiary

2008

- The project of establishing 6 MW Biomass based thermal Power Plant in the name of Badarpur Energy Pvt Ltd (wholly owned subsidiary of Barak Valley Cements Ltd) is completed and now this plant is ready to start its commercial production.

2011 -Appointment of Ms. Nidhi Sharma for Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of the Company.

2013 -approved appointment of Ms. Bhavna Jangid as the Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of the Company.

2014 -Mr. Kamakhya Chamaria as Managing Director of the Company.

2017

-Company has commenced Commercial production from the expanded capacity. With the commencement of Commercial production from the expanded capacity the total production capacity of Cement Grinding Unit now is 1000 TPD.
