| The Company manufactures power capacitors, condensors, malathion technical and metallized P.P.Condensors. It was incorporated on 22nd December, 1964 at Bombay as a private ltd Company and converted into a public limited company on 27th January 1966.
The Company was promoted by Khatau Group in collaboration with OTTO JUNKER OF WEST GERMANY.
The production of capacitors was started in Jan 1968. In 1976, the Company entered in technical collaboration agreement with GENERAL ELECTRIC CO of U.S.A. for obtaining the latest technology for the manufacture of mixed dielechic capacitor. Production of condensors commenced in 1976.
In 1984 company signed a new agreement with General Electric Company of U.S.A. for latest technology of Dielektrol III Capacitors.
During 1990-91, the company also established hybrid seed development centres in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharashtra to develop and market high quality hybrid seeds for various commercial crops. Production and distribution commenced in March,1991.
During 1991-92 the company decided to modernise the malathion and demethoate plants. It was expected to be completed by the first quater of 1992.
The company was setting up facilities for the manufacture of Vat Dyes at Ankleshwar, Gujarat. A major portion of the production was proposed to be exported. Production was scheduled for the first quater of 1992.
