    History of Company

    The Company was incorporated on 20th July, 1988 as Orkays Rope Manufacturing Company Limited as a 100% EOU. The Certificate of Commencement of Business was obtained on August 2, 1988. The name of the Company was subsequently changed to Krishna Filaments Limited on September 22, 1989. It started its activities in 1989 with the manufacture of 3 strand ropes with an installed capacity of 1800 TPA. It added Twines and 8 strand ropes to its product range in 1994-95. With domestic sales commencing in 1994-95, the Company ceased to be a 100% EOU. The Company was accorded the status of a Government recognised Export House with effect from April 1, 1995 vide certificate No.4797 dated March 31, 1995.
