POWERGRID Infrastructure Investment Trust ("PGInvIT"/ "Trust") was settled by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited as an irrevocable trust set up pursuant to the Trust Deed, under the provisions of the Indian Trusts Act, 1882. The Trust was registered with Securities and Exchange Board of India ("SEBI") on January 7, 2021 as an infrastructure investment trust under Regulation 3(1) of the InvIT Regulations having registration number IN/InvIT/20-21/0016. IDBI Trusteeship Services Limited is the Trustee.
Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna CPSE under Ministry of Power, Govt. of India is the Sponsor of PGInvIT. The Sponsor's equity shares are listed on the NSE and the BSE.
POWERGRID Unchahar Transmission Limited has been appointed as the Investment Manager to the Trust while Power Grid Corporation of India Limited has been appointed as the Project Manager in respect of the Trust.
