    History of Company

    The company history sections lists out major chronological events that happened to the company.
    Our Promoters, launched the first restaurant of our Company's restaurant network in 1992 under the name `Only Fish', which was later renamed `Oh! Calcutta' in 1996. In 1994 our Promoters launched the first Mainland China restaurant in Mumbai. Our Company was incorpo- rated as Speciality Restaurants Private Limited on December 1, 1999 as a private limited company under the Companies Act. The name of our Company was changed to Mainland Restaurants Private Limited on May 7, 2003 and a fresh certificate of incorporation dated May 8, 2003 was issued by the Registrar of Companies, West Bengal. The name of our Company was changed to reflect the brand name of one of our Core Brands, Mainland China. Subsequently the name of our Company was changed again to Speciality Restaurants Private Limited and a fresh certificate of incorporation dated January 1, 2004 was issued. The name of our Company was changed to reflect the business activities presently carried on, and intended to be carried on in the future by our Company. Consequent upon the conversion of our Company to a public limited company, the name of our Company was changed to Speciality Restaurants Limited and a fresh certificate of incorporation dated February 10, 2011 was issued by the Registrar of Companies, West Bengal. For further details see the section, "Our Business" on page 112 of this Red Herring Prospectus. 2001 We launched a Mainland China restaurant in Kolkata 2002 We launched a Mainland China restaurant in Pune We launched a Mainland China restaurant in Chennai We acquired two Mainland China restaurants from our Promoters (Mumbai and Hyderabad) 2003 We had a network of five restaurants in five cities 2005 We acquired a Oh! Calcutta" restaurant located at Building No.6-3-1186/1/1, Ground Floor, Near ITC Kakatiya Hotel, Begumpet, Hyderabad - 500016. - Board recommended a Dividend of Rs.1 (Rupee one only) per equity share of Rs. 10 each (10%) . - Speciality Restaurants Ltd. own Times Food Awards for the year 2013 2014 - The Company has opened a "Sigree Global Grill"; restaurant located at 5AC-430, 5th A Cross, Service Road, 2nd Block, HRBR Layout, Kammanahalli, Bengaluru- 560043. - Speciality Restaurants Ltd. ownZomato Awards for the year 2013 2015 -"Opening of new franchise "Mainland China" and "Sigree" restaurants by Speciality Restaurants Limited (the "Company")". -Opening of "Hoppipola" and "Sigree Global Grill" restaurants by Speciality Restaurants Limited (the "Company") -Opened a new "Cafe Mezzuna" restaurant -"Opening of new "Sigree Global Grill" and "Hoppipola" restaurants" by the Company". -Speciality Restaurants opens 2 new restaurants in Chennai. 2016 -Company has opened a new "Hoppipola" restaurant located at Acropolis Mall, 4th floor having Premises No. 1858/1, Rajdanga Main Road, Kolkata -Company has opened a new "Cafe Mezzuna" restaurant located at South City Mall, 2nd floor, 375, Prince Anwar Shah Road, Kolkata -"Opening of new "Sigree" franchise restaurant by Speciality Restaurants Limited (the "Company") at Nagpur".
